Thank you for signing up for DuoCircle! Your account is ready to go. To start using the DuoCircle email service for your domain, you need to complete two essential steps: configuring your destination server and updating your DNS MX records. This guide will walk you through each of these steps.

Prerequisites

  • Access to your domain's DNS settings.
  • Knowledge of your destination mail server information (hostname or IP address).
  • Access to your DuoCircle account.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Set Your Destination Server:

The destination server is where DuoCircle sends your email after it's been processed by the mail system. It needs to be configured with a valid hostname or IP address. This server will receive mail from the DuoCircle system, which will communicate using various supported ports.

Supported Ports: The following ports are supported by the DuoCircle Email Gateway: 24, 25, 26, 587, 2525, 10025, 52525. Ensure your destination server can receive mail on these ports.

2. Update Your DNS MX Records:

Your DNS MX records need to be updated to direct email traffic to the DuoCircle servers. Incorrect MX records can cause email issues such as bounced or lost messages. If unsure, consult your hosting provider.

Ensure the MX priority numbers are entered exactly as shown above

Remove all other MX records, leaving only those pointing to DuoCircle.


IMPORTANT: Incorrect MX records may cause your email to bounce or be lost. 

If unsure, seek assistance from your hosting provider.

3. Final Steps:

After saving your changes, incoming emails will begin flowing through the DuoCircle servers as soon as the DNS changes propagate. You should start seeing less spam immediately, and within two days, all your domain’s incoming emails will be routed through the DuoCircle spam filters.
